Step 1

Get in touch

Fill in our online quote form or call us on 0141 230 0198. Tell us your postcode and what you are interested in — whether that is a combi boiler replacement, a system upgrade, an air source heat pump or a hybrid system. There is no obligation at this stage.

Step 2

We arrange your survey

One of our advisors will call you back to confirm your details and arrange a no-obligation survey at a time that suits you. We cover Glasgow city and the surrounding local authority areas, so we can usually find a convenient appointment within a few days.

Step 3

Surveyor visits your property

A qualified surveyor visits your home to assess your current heating system, measure your property and understand your hot-water needs. They will explain the options available and recommend the most suitable system for your home and budget.

Step 4

Receive your written quote

After the survey, you receive a written, no-obligation quote setting out the recommended system, the work involved and the price. Take your time to review it — there is no pressure to proceed and no hard-sell tactics.

Step 5

Installation by our MCS-certified partner

If you decide to go ahead, the installation is carried out by our MCS-certified partner. Boilers are installed by Gas Safe registered engineers from our installation partner. They will arrange an installation date that works for you, carry out the work to a high standard and ensure your new system is commissioned and working correctly before they leave.

Step 6

Enjoy your new heating system

Once the installation is complete, the engineer will explain how your new boiler or heat pump works, show you the controls and make sure everything is running smoothly. Your new system is ready to provide reliable heating and hot water for years to come.

What happens during the survey?

The survey is the most important part of the process. It allows the surveyor to assess your property in detail and recommend the right system for your needs. Here is what they will look at:

  • Your current boiler — its type, age, condition and location
  • The size of your property and the number of radiators
  • How many bathrooms you have and your typical hot-water demand
  • The condition of your existing pipework and radiators
  • Where the flue can be routed and any access considerations
  • Whether a heat pump or hybrid system might be suitable for your home
  • Your heating controls and whether upgrades are recommended

Tips for your survey

1

Have your current energy bills to hand — they help the surveyor understand your usage patterns.

2

Think about any rooms that are too cold or too hot, and any issues with your current hot-water supply.

3

Write down any questions you have — about boiler types, heat pumps, timings or the installation process.

4

Make sure the surveyor can access your boiler, loft (if you have a tank) and all rooms with radiators.

After the installation

Once your new boiler or heat pump has been installed, the engineer will not just pack up and leave. They will take the time to show you how your new system works, explain the controls and thermostat, and make sure you are comfortable operating it. They will also ensure the system has been properly commissioned — that means checking the water pressure, balancing the radiators and verifying that everything is running safely and efficiently.

Your new system will come with a manufacturer warranty, and the installer will register the installation with the relevant bodies. The engineer will explain what to do if you have any questions or need support after the installation is complete.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about boiler replacement and heat pumps in Glasgow.

How long does the survey take?+
A typical survey takes between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the size of your property and the complexity of the installation. The surveyor will need access to your current boiler, hot-water cylinder (if you have one) and the rooms where radiators are located.
Do I have to be present for the survey?+
Yes, it is helpful for you to be present so the surveyor can discuss your heating and hot-water needs, ask about your preferences and explain the recommended options. It also gives you the chance to ask any questions.
How soon can the installation be arranged?+
Once you accept the quote, we aim to arrange installation at a time that suits you. Many installations are booked within a week or two of the quote being accepted, depending on the surveyor and installer availability in your area.
Will I be without heating or hot water during installation?+
For a straightforward combi swap, the heating and hot water are typically off for only a few hours during the day of installation. For more complex jobs, the surveyor will explain the timeline so you know what to expect.
